2nd Alarm Commercial Building Fire in Palmer Township

The HFCo. was alerted for Rescue 5341 at 0540 hrs. with F27 (Palmer Municipal FD) for a Commercial Building Fire at 3510 Greenway Street. There were multiple reports from the area of smoke and fire showing. With the update 2752 (AC Carr) struck the 1st Alarm Assignment. 5341 arrived on scene and crew assisted with ground ladders, forcible entry and fire attack. A second alarm was requested by command for additional resources to assist with fire suppression and overhaul. Units operated on scene for several hours with the bulk of the fire knocked down within an hour.

While 53 units assisted with the Palmer Twp. incident, Fire 53 was dispatched to the 500 block of Nazareth Pike for a MVA. Engine 4611 (East Allen) responded with units from Fire 53 from their move up assignment at Station 53 and handled that incident.
