Members of the truck committee traveled to the 4-Guys Fire Apparatus plant in Meyersdale, PA to conduct the pre-paint inspection of the new 5331. Work is progressing well with details being finalized for the final fit-out of the apparatus. The unit is being built on a Peterbilt 389 chassis and will have a 1750 gpm pump and a 4000 gallon poly tank. The members met with 4-Guys staff from the electrical, pump, and equipment mounting departments to confirm and adjust the specifications as needed. The unit will now be returned to the assembly building to complete the construction. 5331 is on schedule for an early fall delivery. Thank you to Bob Pursell of Commonwealth Fire Apparatus for all of his assistance with the purchase and to the entire staff at 4-Guys for their attention to detail and hospitality during our visit.

Members of our Co. were at 4-Guys for a pre-paint consultation for a piece of apparatus we are having built. I happened to notice your tanker being worked on while there. Very sharp looking rig. And very large!
