Over the last 2 weekends personnel from surrounding fire companies/departments participated in Pump Operations 1 and 2. In Pumps 1, personnel received information on basic pump construction and operating techniques. Emphasis was placed on securing a water supply, getting water to the pump, getting water from the pump to hose streams, and prevention of common mistakes in pump operations. In Pumps 2, personnel received information on drafting, friction loss, relay pumping, master streams, and elevated master stream.
