Route 33 Vehicle Accident with Rescue

The HVFCo was dispatched at 20:42 for a reported MVA with unknown injuries and possible entrapment at mile marker 6.4 on Route 33 South. 5351 (Chief Seip) responded to the scene and was advised by PSP of one patient entrapped and one self-extricated. PSP blocked traffic on the Southbound side allowing EMS 17 and Rescue 5341 (AC Cortright) and Rescue Engine 5312 (FM Boucher) to access the scene from the Route 33 S. exit ramp to 248. Crews from both 53 units secured the scene and extricated the patient. Both patients from the passenger vehicle were transported to a local hospital.

Fire 54 (Upper Nazareth) closed Route 33 South at the Tatamy Road interchange for the duration of the incident.

My grandson Jonathan lost his life in this accident. A whole hearted thank you to all who responded and helped at this scene.
