The HVFCo was alerted at 1658 hours for a working vehicle fire on Route 33 South at mile marker 6.5 (just north of the 248 interchange). 5351 (Chief Seip) responded to the scene and was advised by a Station 52 (Bushkill Township) fire officer that there was a working fire in the engine compartment with fire extending to the interior. 5351 arrived on scene and found the vehicle off on the shoulder and fully involved. Rescue / Engine 5312 (AC Cortright) and Tanker 5331 (FF Lambert) made the response and accessed Route 33 from the 248 South exit ramp. Traffic was closed on 33 South until the fire was extinguished.
