The HVFCo.#1 along with Nancy Run Fire Station 14 (1421) were dispatched for a possible commercial structure fire at the Trinity Lutheran Church in the 300 block of Nazareth Pike. 5352 (AC Boucher) gave the update of black smoke showing with a possible furnace malfunction. 5312 responded with staffing of 4, 5331 with staffing of 2, and 1421 and 1441 responded with full crews also. 5352 advised 5312's crew to access the subdivision and assess the situation. 5312's crew determined the need for ventilation with high CO levels in the structure. 5331's crew and crews from 14 assisted with ventilating the structure. The incident occurred at the height of the snow storm with approximately 10-12 inches of snow on the ground and snow falling heavily at the time. We would like to thank Martin Boucher Enterprises, Lynn Grube Snow Plowing, and Scott Killino's Snow Removal for assisting with clearing the access road to the church for fire personnel and apparatus.
