Dryland Way Brush Fire

The HFCo. was alerted at 14:38 hrs. for a reported brush fire on Dryland Way in the Target parking lot. CRPD arrived reporting a large smoke condition with multiple wind driven fires. Tender 5331 and Engine 5311 responded and upgraded the response to the 1st Alarm. Fire 27, 25, and 54 were alerted. 2752 (AC Carr) arrived and Established 53 Command. Crews stretched multiple handlines and Brush Units used ground sweeps in grassy areas. The fire was under control in a short time, with crews working multiple areas to mop up. Thanks to the Nancy Run Fire Company (Engine 1411) for the cover assignment.
