Fire 53 was alerted just after 20:00 to respond as the RIT assignment for a commercial structure fire in Upper Nazareth Township. The dispatch was updated by PD and EMS to be a working fire in a trash compactor. 5341 (AC Brooks) responded with a crew of 5 and upon arrival was directed to assist with suppression and overhaul. 5343 (FM Boucher) responded with the trailer-mounted PPV fan to assist with clearing the smoke from the building. The fire was contained to the compactor unit.
