Route 248 MVA With Rescue

Hecktown Fire, Vigilance Hose Company (Nazareth Borough), and EMS 17 (Bethlehem Township) were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with rescue at the intersection of Route 248 and Hollo Road at 1600 hours. 5351 (Chief Seip) arrived on the scene and found one vehicle in the road with one party trapped. The second vehicle had left the roadway and came to rest in a grassy area north of Route 248. Crews from Rescue 5041(AC Ianovale), Rescue 5341 (Captain Suhr), and Engine/Rescue 5312 (AC Hinkel) provided extrication. EMS 17 packaged the patient and transported to a local hospital. Fire Police from Stations 50 and 54 (Upper Nazareth Fire Department) shut down Route 248 and Hollo Road. The roads were closed for several hours while the Colonial Regional Police Department investigated the accident.
