On Monday evening the members of Station 53 hosted Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure and Lower Nazareth Township Supervisors Bob Hoyer and Amy Templeton to demonstrate several pieces of new training equipment. The electronic fire extinguisher training system and forcible entry simulator were purchased with funds obtained from the newly created Northampton County Fire and EMS Grant with matching funds provided by Lower Nazareth Township. The new equipment was explained and demonstrated by firefighters then the elected officials tried their hand at extinguishing the "fire" and forcing entry through a locked door.

The Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company would like to express our appreciation for the support of both Northampton County and Lower Nazareth Township for providing the funding needed to purchase this equipment.
