At 17:15 hours, Fire 53, Fire 14 for 1421, (Nancy Run of Bethlehem Township), and EMS 17 (Bethlehem Township) were alerted for a dwelling fire with smoke and flames showing at 273 Nazareth Pike in Lower Nazareth Township. Multiple callers reported a working fire in the double home. 5355 (Capt. Cortright) confirmed the dispatch as a working fire on the D side of the structure. 5351 (Chief Seip) requested the second alarm bringing units from Fire 15 (Hanover Township Northampton County), Fire 27 (Palmer Municipal), Fire 50 (Vigilance Hose of Nazareth), Fire 54 (Upper Nazareth Township), and Fire 17 (Bethlehem Township) for RIT.

Engine 5311 (AC Hinkel) arrived on the scene and established a water supply. The crew forced entry and advanced a 1 3/4" handline to knock down the bulk of the fire. Crews forced entry to the attached property and made entry successfully rescuing several pets including a dog and cat. 5331 (FF Doddy) provided a backup water supply for 5311. Crews from all agencies assisted with overhaul, ventilation, and salvage. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians. Hecktown Fire would like to thank all of our mutual aid agencies for their assistance at this incident.
