2 Tractor Trailers Collide on Route 33

Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company along with The Palmer Municipal Fire Department and Bethlehem Township EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving two tractor-trailers on Route 33 North at mile 5.8. Williams Township 2851 (Chief Murray), was on scene as the call was being dispatched and confirmed the location and reported one party trapped. 5351 (Chief Seip) arrived on scene and assumed the 53 Command. Rescue Engine 2713 was directed to the parking lot of Trains and Lanes on Northwood Avenue to access the scene while Rescue 5341 (AC Hinkel) approached from the Hecktown Road ramp to Route 33 North. Crews provided stabilization and extrication with one patient being transported to a local trauma center. Units from PSP, Northampton County EMA, Fast Lane Towing, Easton Autobody, and Penn Dot assisted with traffic control, hazard containment, and cleanup.
