The Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company and Palmer Municipal Fire Department (2722) were dispatched for the commercial structure fire at Burger King on Easton Nazareth Highway at 22:19 hours. Initial callers were reporting that the building was on fire with smoke showing. 5351 (Chief Seip) requested the second alarm while en route to the scene based on updates from the EMS 17 unit on scene. Personnel from Fire 53 and 27 stretched a 1 3/4" line and made entry to the building where they found a working fire in the kitchen area. The fire main body of fire was quickly controlled with crews from Fire 27 and Fire 50 working to control the fire in the roof area. Additional crews assisted with overhaul and ventilation.
