| On Saturday, September 12 the HVFCo#1 hosted a golf tournament prior to our annual Fall Drawing. The day began at 0730 with registration. The golfers arrived at Southmoore Golf Course and were greeted by a steady wind-driven rain. After conferring with the course staff, and checking the weather forecast, it was decided to proceed with the event. The forecast was for the rain to taper off with temperatures in the low 70's. (It never did) The golfers pressed on and finished the tournament in spite of the weather. The members of the HVFCo#1 would like to thank everyone who participated and especially our event sponsors. Through everyone's efforts, the event was very successful in raising much needed funds to equip our new engine. We would like to ask everyone to show our sponsors the same support that they demonstrated to our organization.
