| The officers and members of the HVFCo had the privilege of honoring the longest serving member in the Company's history on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Donny "Pap" Laubach celebrated his 60th year of service with a reception and awards ceremony at Station 53.
Donny is the only current member that has worked out of all 3 stations used by the company throughout our history. He served as Assistant Chief (to his father Willis "Pop" Laubach), Chief, and Fire Marshal throughout his career. Donny has consistently been one of our most active volunteers, having logged the most responses of any member for many years.
During the ceremony citations were presented from Governor Corbett, Fire Commissioner Mann, and State Senator Boscola. Matt Sickonic of State Representative Hahn's office was also on hand to present a citation on her behalf. Lower Nazareth Township Manager Timm Tenges presented Donny with a certificate from the Township thanking him for his years of service and dedication to the Township and its residents. A pair of photos signed by all of the members was the final presentation of the evening.
All of the officers and members past and present would like to thank Donny and his family for all that they have done for our organization. We wish all of them continued good health and happiness in the future. |
