Fire 53 was dispatched to the area of 176 Nazareth Pike for a vehicle off the road with one party trapped. EMS 17 reported the accident via radio after witnessing the pickup truck strike a sign, and breakthrough a guardrail before striking a tree next to a bridge over the Monocacy Creek. 5344 (AC Hinkel) arrived on the scene and requested stabilization and manpower to assist the EMS crew in removing the patient. Rescue Engine 5312 (AC Brooks) responded and the crew along with Colonial Regional PD assisted in bringing the patient up the embankment and to the EMS unit. Nazareth Pike was closed for an extended period of time while crews from Fastlane Towing and Knecht's Towing removed the vehicle from the embankment.
