On Monday, November 10, 2008 the HVFCo. hosted several of its neighboring departments for a rural water supply drill. Six departments with a total of 62 personnel participated in the training. A fill site and dump site were established on the grounds of Dutch Springs, a diving facility located on Hanoverville Road. Engine/Rescue 5312 set up at draft on a dry-hydrant and provided the fill site while engine 4611 drafted from two portable ponds and supplied ladder 2721 during the evolution. 5 tankers were utilized to shuttle water between the fill and dump sites. Several valuable lessons were learned, while the fundamentals regarding the set up and utilization of a tanker shuttle operation were reinforced. The officers and members of the HVFCo. would like to thank all of the companies that participated in the drill and we look forward to training together again in the future.
**Special thanks to Dutch Springs for allowing us to utilize your facility for training.**
